Israeli Strikes Hit Iranian State TV Broadcast
A government-affiliated news agency stated that Israel’s armed forces struck the headquarters of Iran’s national broadcaster while it was "broadcasting live."
As reported, the assault led to an abrupt halt in the broadcast.
However, Iranian state TV resumed its programming shortly after the brief suspension, with coverage continuing from alternative studio locations in the aftermath of the airstrikes.
Various media organizations circulated video clips showing the consequences of the bombardment.
Earlier in the day, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared that Iran’s national broadcasting entities were "about to disappear."
According to a semi-official news agency, a number of media personnel were injured during the incident.
Tensions in the region have significantly intensified since Friday, following Israel's synchronized aerial assaults on numerous locations inside Iran, which included military and atomic infrastructure.
In response, Tehran carried out retaliatory missile strikes.
Israeli officials stated that the recent Iranian attacks have resulted in the deaths of no fewer than 24 individuals and left hundreds wounded.
